If you got the title then I can enlist you in the “Cool Squad”. Yes, it’s the catchphrase of RICK from RICK & MORTY. I personally relate to Rick so much as sometimes his dialogues make me go like “I KNOW RIGHT, FINALLY, SOMEONE GETS ME”
This show is a combination of Creepy things + Dark Humor + Laser killing + Aliens + Real asf advice that just makes you go cray cray. This show is not made just for everyone, you need a very different kind of a humor to like this show and get the inside jokes.
During the show some of the things just made me go “Meh :/” because well if you are watching something and the voices are not that pleasing then it just throws the purpose of what the character is saying out of the window – like don’t get me wrong I love Rick; I love the show; I love the way I can relate to it; but sometimes, like when he talks and burps at the same time, makes me cringe so much.
Okay, I get the idea that he is an alcoholic but OH MY GOD DO WE HAVE TO MAKE IT OBVIOUS LIKE THIS, It’s already very obvious by the liquid dripping out of his face, I mean you know what I am talking about, that small water like substance dripping from his face.
It’s kind of annoying but then again I love him so It’s acceptable for me. Other than that, the one and only thing I found annoying – but loved it at the same time – was whenever Rick was insensitive towards Morty, even though he used to help him out in the end.
I felt bad for Rick because he is a lonely guy and he finds pleasure in alcohol, the number he is the better he feels but I guess as the seasons progress ahead then it gets even more interesting and creepy which is awesome!!
Even though it is portrayed in the season that Rick is an evil genius and Morty is a dumb kid, but there are some instances where they both drop the bombs of kindness and intelligence that just leave you speechless.
But then again there are scenes like the one where Rick and Morty had to bury their own dead bodies, that sort of creeped me out, like how can one have the guts to see their own dead self, I would never be able to get through with that, But THEY DID!
The trash talk, the bond of friendship between a grand father and his grand children (Yes Rick is Morty’s Grand Father), the vastness of this universe with the concept of multiple realities – all of it is a complete Package of AWESOMENESS and I would recommend to all those that are into dank dark stuff that they look into this!!
