As soon as the wave of wedding season struck the country, the commencement of country’s biggest and most awaited fashion show, Pantene Hum Bridal Couture Week 2018 (BCW) wined and dined on 7th December 2018.
The couture gala dazzled Lahore for three days, where it presented the latest bridal and fashion trends and ideas by the well-known and upcoming Pakistani and international fashion designers on the runway. The entire fashion week was a mixture of glamour and glitz.
BCW has emerged as a go-to-choice for established and new designers to showcase their skills and creativity with the latest trends and designs. BCW has provided a platform for the new and aspiring learners to stand shoulder-to-shoulder and hand-in-hand with country’s biggest fashion moguls, where they can all promote and showcase their work in a professional and organized manner.
BCW 2018 left the audience completely captivated with exceptional designs, contemporary jewelry, and picture-perfect makeup. This year four emerging designers made their debut on BCW. The beautiful supermodel, Vaneeza Ahmed, directed the PHBCW 2018, styling and hair was done by the makeup guru, NABILA, and the official jewelry partner was HAMNA AMIR.
Hum Bridal Couture Week 2018: Day 1
Hum Bridal Couture Week Day 1 witnessed talented designers and stylists from all over Pakistan. The Pantene fashion show outfits for the segment on Day 1 were designed by Natasha Kamal whereas the styling was done by Mehak Saeed.
The focus of attention on day 1 was the phenomenal performance by Zoe Vicajji.
Hum Bridal Couture Week Day 1 kick-started with the breathtaking opening by Nilofer Shahid, the designer showcased her collection titled, Badshah Begum which was a tribute to the legendary Mughal Empress, Nur Jahan. Badshah Begum was an epitome of royal legacy with the current vestiary style.
The beautiful Mawra Hocane walked the ramp for Nilofer Shahid.
It was followed by Aisha Imran’s Dastaan-e-Ishq. Mansha Pasha and Sumbul Iqbal stunned the ramp for the designer.
Emran Rajput’s collection titled Surkhaab was a clear hit. The heartthrob, Bilal Abbas Khan, walked the ramp.
Ansab Jehangir stunned the audience with vibrant colors such as crimson and tangerine in contrast to pastels in his latest collection DILARA. The collection was a total delight.
Bushra Ansari and Meera Ansari shared the ramp as the showstoppers.
Faiza Saqlain presented simple yet elegant collection Shehnai, enhanced by the use of pearls, sequins and stone son luxurious silk and tissue fabric.
Ayeza Khan looked ethereal wearing Shahwar from the collection.
Sahar Atif named her collection after the poetic ballads. Mah-e-Nau sure was a ballad of textiles, embroideries, and motifs that gained critics’ attention.
The renowned fashion designer Reema Ahsan showcased her collection Dastaan. Dastaan is a collection of abiding pieces transferred from one generation to the other. The collection is a perfect fusion of modern and traditional wear.
Hareem Farooq stunned the runway for the designer.
Tabassum Mughal is one of the best and chic designers this industry has blessed us with. She presented her collection, titled Romantic Musings which had a wide range of elegance and variety with a contemporary twist.
Sonya Hussain and Ahsan Khan along with Kubra Khan and Gohar Rasheed added opulence to the collection.
Arsalan Iqbal presented his collection titled, Classics 1.0 where he designed sherwanis with embroidered jackets. The collection used soft silks, velvets, and jamawars with gabardines, embroidered to perfection and cut with precision.
The dashing, Shahzad Nawaz and Omar Shahzad, walked the ramp for Arsalan Iqbal.
Hum Bridal Couture Week 2018: Day 2
The second day of Hum Bridal Couture Week witnessed a total of 7 seven talented designers showcasing their latest and trendy collection. Day 2 lived up to the mark of the audience, after the successful completion of the Day 1.
The line-up of showcases on the Hum Bridal Couture Week started with Ziggi Menswear collection titled, Burda, featured velvet, cotton, and silks.
Aisha Sadya’s JEWELS OF THE SECRET GARDEN that brought sensation to the Hum Bridal Couture Week. The whole collection was based on a theme of a fairy tale where the newlyweds, Aiman Khan, and Muneeb Butt, set the stage on fire.
Followed by Faika Karim’s Lisbon collection. The collection played well with the colors where the palette comprised of gold, ivory, and rust in combination with olive tones.
The designer brought the cast of PINKY MEMSAAB, Kiran Malik and Hajra Yamin, heated the ramp as showstoppers.
The first half of the day was concluded by Royal Tag’s Winter Stories 18-19, which was highly inspired by the Turkish winter culture and its architecture.
The veteran actor, Faisal Qureshi, walked on the ramp for the renowned retail store.
Umsha By Uzma Babar
The second half of the Hum Bridal Couture Week started with Umsha by Uzma Babar’s Mohabbat Nama, the collection was a blend of both the modern and as well as traditional romance.
The versatile actress Saba Qamar and the social media star, Zaid Ali Tahir with wife Yumna Ali T, brought charisma to the collection.
Everthine By Samar
Bridal gowns, lehengas with stunning metallic threads, sequins, beads, and pearls beautifully summed up the collection AASHNA.
The magnificent, Urwa Hocane, added allure to the collection.
Haris Shakeel’s collection Khwabeeda was inspired by the moons and stars. It was full of glitter, stones, and pearls with a dreamy color palette that enhanced the beautiful designs.
The beautiful, Hira Mani, graced the ramp with her presence.

The finale of the Hum Bridal Couture Week Day 2 was Mohsin Naveed Ranjha’s collection HEER. It was inspired by the glory and radiance of traditional brides, his collection pleased all.
The evergreen, REEMA, in one of the most alluring attire walked for the collection.
Hum Bridal Couture Week: Day 3
The Hum Bridal Couture Week winded up on Sunday, after 3 consecutive days of glamour, opulence, and glory. There were a total of seven talented designers who showcased the latest trends in Bridal wear.
Nickie Nina’s collection Catalina was inspired by the rich, colorful and vivid culture of Cuba. The collection featured bizarre velvet paired with multi-dimensional embroidery. The color palette included jewel tones that brought life to the collection.
The adorable, Iqra Aziz, and the charming, Yasir Hussain, walked for the designer.
Annus Abrar’s Qaus-o-Qazah was one sparkling show that dazzled with elegance and charm. The color palette was rich with ornate hues, jubilant bling and radiant accents that embellished with the luxe collection.
The stunning, Neelum Munir, stole the show with her angelic performance.
Murtaza Hussain showcased his sterling collection MIR on the third day of Bridal Couture Week.
Ahsan’s Menswear was based on handloom fabrics, with black and ivory color theme, featured strong cut jackets in combination with velvet, raw silk and jamawar with a handmade Rajasthani turban and colored beaded necklaces.
House of Mehdi presented Garden of Eve bridal collection 2018/19, which was pure perfection. Bold and beautiful jeweled tones accentuated by touches of gold, silver, and bronze with exquisite silhouettes.
Farz Karo was an outstanding experience and adventure in Hum Bridal Couture Week. The collection paid tribute to the satirical world of IBN-I-INSHA, the collection featured complex prints, experimental silhouettes, and traditional cuts. Munib Nawaz’s Farz Karo had it all.
The diva, Hania Amir, and the dashing, Asim Azhar, walked on the ramp with such grace and poise.
HSY, The king of couture presented his latest couture collection SHAH at BCW. He brought his latest #HSYxHarrisTweedHebrides collaboration to BCW 2018 that stole the spotlight at the last day of Pantene Hum Bridal Couture Week 2018.
The gorgeous, Mawra Hocane, looked like a million bucks as she walked the ramp for the king of Couture.
