Khurram Shahzad, on the other hand is a former fighter pilot of Pakistan Air Force. He divorced Muniba in 2015 in response to the Khulla case filed by Muniba. Khurram now opens up about his side of the story. According to him, the couple got married in 2005 and met the unfortunate incident in 2008 when Muniba became wheelchair bound. The accident traumatized both of them and in order to strengthen their relationship they adopted a child in 2011. However, their differences began when Muniba, according to the plaintiff, started visiting foreigners in diplomatic enclaves and embassies with her brothers which was not allowed to him being part of the Pakistan Air Force. She also engaged in modelling etc against his wishes. Upon stopping her from such activities, she left the house with their adopted son and later filed for Khulla.
Muniba Mazari has spoken of her marriage as an unhappy one earlier. The situation worsened after the accident she relates and hence she had to leave the house. According to her, three years back, her ex-husband filed the suit for the custody of their adopted son which he lost. This time it’s the money he wants, according to Muniba.
